Antique early 1900's numbered haute couture garment from the famed French atelier Maison Laferriere

This stunning coat features handmade lavishly embroidered net lace

Trimmed in more than 100 handmade "pom-poms" of a cotton thread

Black silk velvet trim

Lovely medallions of black velvet & handmade tassels

A single hook and eye closure at the waist

Seams are finished in a cotton trim inside :: Wide lace with silk ribbon at the inside bottom edge

"Madame Laferrière, had a very highly regarded Fashion House with quality gowns, which opened in 1869, at the address of 28, rue Taitbout, Paris.

Her establishment was on equal stature to the fashion houses of Doucet and Paquin, and it could be said indeed of Worth.

The House of Laferriere designed for Royalty – Queen Maud of Norway was besotted with her dresses and had a large number of the most elaborate evening styles for her wardrobe.
